Adding Shadow Effects to Objects in PowerPoint

Adding a shadow to an object is a subtle artistic touch. Consider the following examples. The shadowed object has depth and movement.

To add a shadow effect to an object

  1. Open the presentation in PowerPoint.


  2. Draw or select the object to which you want to add the effect.


  3. On the Drawing toolbar, click Shadow.


  4. Select the desired Shadow setting.
