Inserting Digital Photos in PowerPoint Presentations

Digital cameras have made it extraordinarily simple to include photographs in presentations, in no time! You don't have to worry about developing film or hard copies. Just click and go.

To insert a digital photo in a presentation

  1. Using a digital camera, take the desired photo.


  2. Download the photo to your computer.


  3. Open a PowerPoint presentation.


  4. Navigate to the slide in which you want to add the photo.


  5. On the Insert menu, select Picture and click the down arrows.



  6. Select From Scanner or Camera.


  7. Select the desired photo and click Insert.


  8. Using the mouse, place the photo where you want it to appear.


  9. Optional: If you want to edit the photo (crop, recolor, add a border, etc.), select the photo and right-click. Select Format Picture. The following dialog appears.



  10. Make changes as desired and click OK.
