Inserting Clip Art in PowerPoint Presentations

To insert clip art in PowerPoint presentations

  1. Open a PowerPoint presentation.


  2. Navigate to the desired slide or create a new one.


  3. From the Insert menu, select one of the following:


    • Picture > Clip Art


      • Use this option if you want to insert a vector image such as an .eps, .wmf, and .drw file.


      • The Microsoft Clip Gallery appears. Navigate to the desired graphic. Click Insert. Note that you can also select Clip Properties to check out file name, type, size, and path. You can also select Import Clips to add clip art to the Clip Gallery.


    • Picture > From File


      • Use this option if you want to insert a Raster image such as a bitmap, a digital photo, or a scanned image. Usually these files have one of the following extensions: .bmp, .tif, .gif, .jpg, or .pcx.


      • Navigate to the desired graphic. Click Insert.
