Audio and Video: Converting, Editing, and Optimizing with Blaze Media Pro

Everyone knows the importance of audio and video in multimedia presentations. We all struggle with adding these things to our presentations — while trying to get the CONTENT of the presentation right and the darn thing done on TIME. That is why any tool that makes adding such whiz-bang features easy-to-do gets high marks. Enter . . . Blaze Media Pro.

Blaze Media Pro enables you to convert audio and video files (from many input file types) to a variety of output file types — ideally suited for insertion in multimedia presentations. You can perform many editing functions on the audio and video files — ensuring the clips are customized for your uses. Blaze Media Pro also provides complete playback options for all popular media formats. Essentially, Blaze Media Pro provides an audio and video playlist, audio and video conversions, video construction and decompiling, audio editing and recording, and much more!

Convert Audio and Video Files

The Blaze Media Pro conversion features are easy to use, yet powerful. Both audio and video files can be converted. Supported conversions include CD to WAV, CD to MP3, CD to WMA, WAV to MP3, MP3 to WAV, WAV to WMA, WMA to WAV, WAV to CD, WAV Codec Conversions, and two-way conversions among MPEG, AVI, Multi-Page TIFF, and FLIC.

The CD Converter module provides a CDDB auto-save feature, which enables track title, artist, and album information to be dynamically downloaded from the Internet CD database and used when converting CD tracks to WAV, MP3, or WMA. For those of us with more simple needs, these features are fully configurable to use as much or as little of the information desired.

Edit Audio Files

The full-featured Audio Editor includes options such as Amplify, Null Amplitude, Insert/Delete Silence, Fade In/Out, Invert, Normalize, Reverse, Echo, Stretch, and much more. Furthermore, the Audio Editor can be used for audio file recording from any analog connection (such as cassette or record player), phone line, TV tuner audio, CD player, etc. Notice the toolbar on the Audio Editor (shown below). Many easy-to-use features (as well as some complex ones) are executed with the click of a button.

Playback is Simple

Blaze Media Pro supports all popular multimedia formats for playback, including MPEG Layer-3 (MP3), MPEG Layer-2 (MP2), Active Streaming Format (ASF), MPEG Video (MPG, MPEG, MPE), Windows Video (AVI), Windows Media 4 (WMA, WMV), Vivo Digital Video (VIV), Apple QuickTime (MOV, QT), Windows Audio (WAV), Audio CD (CDA), Video CD (DAT), Media Playlists (ASX, WAX, M3U, WVX), MIDI, AIFF, AU, SND, and more! For video formats, advanced zooming and full-screen modes are supported, as are playback speed and position control. The Player can be used in expanded mode (shown) or collapsed mode — in which the list of clips is hidden.

Using Playback in Presentations

Use the Playlist Editor for your next presentation. Put audio or video clips in Blaze Media Pro and use this tool to manage all of your external multimedia files. Best of all, you can combine both audio and video files within the same playlist.
